Lights dance around. My legs ache so much from all that hike - But a sight you are.
You slip a hand in mine, Drawing me close. The smell of mahogany cologne.
My mouth drops At the sight of cute ponies prancing As the carousel swirls around.
A kiss on my head...
Sprinkles of rose dust.
Without realizing, our feet start to swing, Back and forth, To the beats into the unknown.
I slip off those too mighty heels. My body heedlessly rolls Around the edges of those rough, warm palms.
Bare foot we dance, Listening to the music ooze Like honey drops from the giddy carousel.
Eyelids drooping, Bodies snug against each other's comfort, We waltz the night away, Our hearts full.
The carousel, our evening officiant.
